Action Roofing & Siding began in 1991 when Kurt Merrell left his father’s home improvement business, which he had been involved with for most of his life, to begin his own venture.  After receiving his Residential Building Contractor’s license, Kurt employed the services of experienced friends and family to help get his business off of the ground.  Soon after, Kurt was joined by his brother Steve, who had also worked in the family business from a young age and brought with him valuable additional experience from his time working in the commercial construction industry, and a partnership began that continues today.

Having grown up in the industry under the mentoring of their father, Kurt and Steve gained a strong work ethic with a focus on customer service, integrity and quality.  Action Roofing & Siding continues the family-focused business practice that the brothers were raised in and today employs a number of other family members.

Our staff also includes individuals with experience in many aspects of both residential and commercial construction including project management, design, new home construction, commercial construction including offices, retail establishments and restaurants as well as property management and maintenance.  Combined we have well over 100 years of qualified experience to serve our clients projects.

While roofing and siding were the primary focus of the business for a number of years, realizing the varying needs of our clients over the past decade, our company has extended its range of services to include windows, doors, insulation, painting, interior remodeling, basement finishing, decks, additions and more.  We continue to expand our service and product base today.

In addition to general construction services, we also provide professional insurance claim settlement and restoration for clients that experience storm damage.  We have over 20 years of experience in insurance claim negotiation and have built a strong reputation with many insurance providers and claims adjusters.  While the claims process can be daunting for homeowners, we know the process inside and out and can offer our clients the peace of mind that comes with such experienced representation.
